DIY: Ombre Denim

This is a tutorial on how to bleach denim in an ombre effect, hope it helps!

What you'll need:
Rubber gloves
Bleach
Denim garment (jeans, denim jacket, denim shirt etc.)
Sink
Washing machine

If you have to do this indoors then do it in a bath tub but preferably do it outdoors as bleach smells pretty bad!

Step One:
Soak your garment with water.

Step Two:
Lay it out on a flat surface.

Step Three:
Pour the bleach along the bottom(or whatever end you want to make lighter) of the garment.

Step Four:
Using your hands, drag the bleach up the material. Keep doing this and adding more bleach until you have reached the desired effect.

Step Five:
Let the bleach sink in a little then rinse the garment in a sink.

Step Six:
Put it in the washing machine by itself. Let it dry and start wearing your ombre'd garment!

Hope this was easy enough to follow and you enjoy this DIY project as much as I did, any feedback would be appreciated!

Thanks, Carmen x

Favourite Products

Hey guys, it's Georgia here, just thought I would let you know some of the products I've been loving and with my own honest review...

1. L'Oreal Elnett Heat Protect Styling Spray
I firstly brought the 'Straight' version of this product, absolutely loved it so went and brought the wavy one. The bottle claims to keep your hair wavy for 3 days, which I would say is both true and false. I apply this before blow drying, and when I do dry my hair, it really helps it to 'wave' more and enhance my natural (ish) waves. My hair definitely stays wavier for longer after using this and the fact its a heat protectant makes it even more amazing!

Overall score: 4/5
2. Garnier Oil-free BB Cream
Oh my god, I am in total love with this. It is definitely much better than any foundation I've ever had and is only £7.99! It honestly stays on your skin all day; I apply mine at about half 7 in the morning and it is still perfect after school! However, it does need a powder over the top of it as you do appear a little shiny. Also, the colour match with this product is amazing. I have fair(ish) skin and the colour 'light' matches perfectly! So happy I found this product, and the fact its oil-free makes it even better.

Overall score: 5/5
3. 17 Felt tip Eyeliner
Personally, when it comes to eyeliner on my top lid, I don't like a really thick line as it makes my eyes look really small. This eyeliner gives the perfect thin/medium line and after I put my mascara on it makes my eyes appear a lot bigger! I have it in the colour 'Blackest black' and it definitely is!

Overall score: 3.5/5
4. MUA Mosaic Blush
When it comes to blush, I don't really like a very strong colour on my cheeks as I have quite coloured cheeks anyway (sad times), but this just gives a nice shimmery colour, with all the different forming to create a lovely subtle glow. I apply it with a big powder brush as it blends it in better with my foundation and after, it always looks perfect. Whilst wearing this, I was asked a few times what I was wearing and was very surprised!

Overall score: 5/5

Shopping Haul!

Hi guys, Carmen here. So I went shopping last weekend and thought I'd show you some things I bought!

Clothes:

Joni Jeans- £36, Topshop
These are unbelievably comfy and so flattering too, totally worth it!

Neon Pinky/Orange Crop Top- £10, Topshop
It's a lot brighter than it looks in the picture, it's really bright neon! I think it'll be a great summery top.

White Crop Top- £3, Primark
Amazing price, I bought this a size bigger by accident but it still fits really well, it's so comfy too!

Cardigan- £6, Primark
I just needed a light layer for spring/summer and this is a lovely cream/oatmeal colour that'll go with most outfits!

Shoes- £15.99, Newlook
These loafers are so cute and I really needed a pair of black slip on shoes.

Makeup:

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation Shade 56- £11, Boots
I find this is great for my dry skin, it gives a really glowy, dewy effect and also smells good!

Bourjois Khol and Contour Eye Liner Pencil- £4.99, Boots
I'm not too impressed with this eyeliner because at the end of the day I usually find dark smudges underneath my eyes.

Bourjois Blusher Shade 74 Rose Amber- Free, Boots
I had to take advantage of the deal in Boots, spend £12 on any Bourjois products and get a free Bourjois blush! I love the colour and it was originally worth about £7 I think!

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer- £4.99, Boots
This concealer is fantastic for the price, it gives really good coverage!

No.7 Beautiful Skin BB Cream- Boots
Sorry i'm not sure of the price. This gives quite a light coverage that's perfect for a natural look, it's moisturising as well so bonus!

Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Polishes in Papaya and Blood Orange- £3.99 each
I love the colour papaya so much! It's a gorgeous coral. They are really shiny and also dry quite fast!

Barry M Nail Polishes in Peach Melba, Berry and Blue Moon- 3 for 2 or £2.99 each, Superdrug
These are gorgeous pastel colours perfect for spring and summer!

Rimmel London Vinyl Gloss- Boots
Can't remember the price sorry! This is a lovely coral colour and is very shiny!

Random Stuff and Jewellery:

Bird Cage Stand- £12, Urban Outfitters
This stand is so adorable, I use it to hold makeup and nail polishes!

Vanilla Candle- £1, Primark
This candle just looks so cute and smells pretty good too!

Coat Hangers- £4, Primark
These come in a pack of ten, are non slip and come in cute colours too as there's also pink ones!

Necklace- £7, Newlook
This necklace is gorgeous, it's a perfect finishing touch to any outfit!

Earrings- £3.50, Topshop
These earrings match my necklace with the Aztec theme and are simple but so cute!

I hope this wasn't too long, but thanks for reading and remember to follow @floralkissesblog on instagram!x

Summer Nail Varnishes

hey guys! It's Olivia here and for my first post I thought I'd do a post about my favourite summer nail varnish😊 (they're all Barry M btw:-))
Okay, so my first one is this pale orange colour called 'Peach Melba'
I've only wore this one once so far because my friend just bought me it but its now officially one of my favourite colours.
If you wear this nail varnish on your toes, I've noticed that this colour makes your feet look more tanned which is always good.
The only bad point is that it does take a while to dry..
So I would rate this at about 4/5

The next polish is a green colour called 'Mint Green'
I really like this colour but it seems to chip really easily:-( so I use the OPI or Nails Inc base and top coat.

Sorry this is a really short review, I have LOADS of revision haha.
